Jesus' last words to his disciples prior to ascending into heaven were:"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
The Presbyterian Church of Victoria website explains a number of things about Presbyterians, including that we are Christians who proclaim God's promises:
God gave mankind a message of Good News ('the Gospel') through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a message which demands a response from all people everywhere.
We seek to proclaim the good news that when people put their trust in Jesus Christ and obey His commands their sins are forgiven, they live under God's blessing day by day, and they receive the assurance of eternal life.

Mission

Drouin Presbyterian is concerned about mission, God's mission. He has called us to proclaim His Name to the communities (and beyond) in which we minister. It is our prayer that as we, as God's people, learn more about God's love and how He wants us to live, that others will see the love of Christ shining through. God is the one who brings others into His kingdom; but He works through us, we are His witnesses to those around us.
At Drouin Presbyterian, we are concerned about mission work that is local (eg. chaplains in schools, Youth for Christ), national (eg. Presbyterian Inland Mission) and international (eg. Mission Partners). Currently, there is a group of dedicated ladies who meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1:30pm as part of the Presbyterian Women's Mission Union (PWMU) to keep informed of many missionaries serving our God and also looking at ways how we can practically support them in their gospel work.
We support a range of missionaries, mission groups and parachurch organisations in prayer and financially. Opportunities are provided for the congregation to become better informed about mission work through various means, including regular presentations during worship services.
